Any profits from the 1950 Empire Games in Auckland Avill be handed tp the NeAV Zealand Olynipic and Empire Games Association for sending teams overseas on future tours and for generally fostering amateur sport in New Zealand. The chairman of the Empire Games Organising Committee (Mr C. Rex Moore) announced to-day that his committee had undertaken to do this in an agreement drawn up during preparation for the Empire Games. 1 “Nobody is yet in -a position to say how much profit will be made—if any,” said Mr Moore. “The company formed to finance the games was not only of limited liability, but was also a non-profit making concern. There will 'ciefinitely be no financial reward in any circumstances for officials concerned in the organisation apart from members of the committee’s own small staff of paid servants.”
