Australian Fertiliser Needs. —The Australian Minister of Commerce (Mr J. McEwen) said yesterday' that he had instructed officials to explore the possibility of securing urgently-needed sulphate of ammonia from Russia. The material is used as fertiliser for sugar, tobacco, vegetables, and other crops. Small quantities of its are produced, in Australia.
