AQUITANIA SAILS FOR LAST TIME

VETERAN LINER GOES TO SHiPBREAKEK # LONDON, Feb. 19. The 45,000-ton liner Aquitania is now steaming from Southampton on her last voyage to *a shipbreaker’s yard on the Clyde. Only a few people were on the dock to wave her farewell. Many who had been there earlier left when it was announced that the sailing would be delayed because of fog.

As the ship sailed she received a flag signal from (he shore: “Good-hye, with regret.” A final wireless message from Southampton was: “We bid farewell to the Aquitania, the Grand Old Lady of the Atlantic. She will be sadly missed, but always remelnbered.”

The Aquitania was built in 1914
