BADLY MISFIRING
DOLLAR DRIVE IN U.S. (Rec. 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, Feb. 19. The dollar drive in the United States by British motor makers is badly misfiring, with sales down x to 1,000 a month, says the “Daily Express.” That is only a fragment of the market which was supplied last year with 5,250,000 British-made ears. The outlook is far from bright, for the nation-wide American Dealers’ Association is complaining of over-pro-duction by domestic makers. This has brought “boot-legging” by unofficial dealers,' who are selling «new cars at as much as £IOO sterling below the list price.
