FILING CABINET SMASHED
,MR MORRISON’S LOSS LONDON, Feb. 19. The election headquarters in South Lewisham of the Lord President of the Council (Mi - Herbert Morrison) were broken into during the night, and a filing cabinet containing the results, of a canvass of the electorate was smashed. The cabinet also contained Mr Morrison’s final appeal to the electors of South Lewisham. An agent said- that nothing appeared to have been taken. He said that the most precious record—the canvass return—was not taken, but may have been seen.
The intruders turned everything upside down in the office, but did not appear to have been after money.
