RUSSIANS BLOCK LORRIES
scraß metal cargoes (Rec. 9.10 a.m.) BERLIN, Feb. 19. The Russians to-day seized 22 lorries carrying scrap metal or metal goods at a checkpoint on the highway between Berlin and Western Germany. The United States transport chief, Mr C. A. Dix, said the Russians were endeavouring to block all metal shipments by road to Western Germany.
