WOMEN’S INSTITUTES

LYNDHURST MEETING There was a good attendance of members at the February meeting of the Lyndhurst Women’s Institute. Mrs Bishop presided. The meeting opened with the singing of the Institute song, after which the business of the afternoon was attended to. Nominations were called and accepted for membership of the committee for the year. Some interesting articles were read from the “Home and Country” magazine and suggestions were made and discussed for the new programme. Winners of competitions held during the afternoon were Mesdames L. Anderson and O. Symes. The hostesses were Mesdames Douglas and Drummond.
