ELECTIONS IN YUGOSLAVIA
CANDIDATES BEING SELECTED LONDON. February 13. The Belgrade correspondent of the British United Press 'says that opponents of the Yugoslav Government will not run for Parliament in the elections on March 26 in spite of a recent electoral reform. Well-informed sources say that although the outgoing Parliament at its sessions in the middle of January decreed that anyone having 100 voters’ signatures from half of a town in his constituency could seek office, only active supporters of Marshal Tito’s regime will compete in the elections. A survey of the-candidates selected so far shows that, they are limited exclusively to members of the Government.\ They include Marshal Tito, who has been chosen in at least eight districts, and workers who have distinguished themselves.
