’PLANES COLLIDE IN RACE. ‘United Press Association —Copyright.) BRISBANE!, August 8. Two Gipsj Moth aeroplanes, which were engaged in an air race, collided at an altitude of 200 feet to-day. One crashed on the Rocklea showgrounds on fire. Its pilot, Duncan Ferguson, aged 35, was burnt to death. The other aeroplane, although seriously damaged by the impact, was brought down safely at Archerfiekl aerodrome by its pilot, William Hill, who was suffering greatly from shock, but was uninjured.
