SHIPPING LOSSES.
SMALL TOTAL FOR BRITAIN. (United Press Association —Copyright) LONDON, August 5. Figures issued by Lloyd’s Register of Shipping show that the number of British merchant ships lost last year is the smallest since the Great War namely 41, with a total tonnage of 41,209. Only one of the leading maritime countries, Denmark, has a smaller percentage for losses.—British Official Wireless.
