HAILE SELASSIE’S MEMOIRS. POLITICAL CONSIDERATIONS. Press Association —Copyright./ LONDON, August 5. The “News-Chronicle” says Haile Selassie’s memoirs, including a personal account of the Abyssinian war and the events leading up to it, and developments since last autumn, have been withdrawn for “political” reasons. The London publisher, Mr Michael Joseph, to whom Haile Selassie is under contract, said Haile Selassie’s solicitors had informed him that for political considerations which could not be revealed he would not be able to publish the manuscript. Mr Joseph added: “Haile Selassie’s decision is not due to political pressure, but to advice received from his political advisers.”
