BANKING AND 1 CREDIT CONTROL MR R. SEMPLE’S VIEWPOINT. (United Press Association—Copyright.) (Received This Day, 11.5 a.m.) MELBOURNE, This Day. Mr Robert Semple told a meeting of union officials and Labour leaders at the Trades Hall that no national Parliament could give effect to an economic programme unless it first obtained control of banking and credit. He claimed that control of finance was the key to the prosperity which New Zealand was now enjoying.
