BRITAIN WINS RELAY RACE.
(Received This Day, 10 a.m.) LONDON, August 2
At the international athletic meeting at White City, J. Horsfall (Australia), running 220 yards, 'assisted the British team to defeat the American team in the half-mile relay race in lmin 29.35ec. The Americans’ time was lmin 33.25ec. The American team included the negro, Ben Johnson, who had previously won the 100 yards in 9.Bsec and the 220 yards in 21.7 sec.
