THE GERMAN CHAMPIONSHIP. BROMWICH BEATS VON GRAMM. (United Press Association—Copyright.) (Received This Day, 10 a.m.) BERLIN, August 2. In the third round of the singles of the German lawn tennis championship tournament at Hamburg, J. Bromwich (Australia) defeated G. von Cramm (Germany), 6-1, 1-6, 6-3, 2-6, 6-2; V. McGrath (Australia) defeated Butler (Britain), 6-4, 6-3, 6-0. Bromwich’s victory was the sensation of the championships. He played with great assurance, while von Cramm frequently netted and outed. Metana (the Austrian Davis Cup player) defeated J. H. Crawford (Australia), 6-4, 3-6, 1-6, 6-1, 6-3.
COOMBE WINS AT OSTEND.

In the international tennis tournament at Ostend, D. G. Coomhe (New Zealand) defeated Moreau (Belgium), 8-10, 6-4, 6-1.
