“DE-ICER” FOR CIVIL ’PLANES. 'United Press Association—Copyright.) WASHINGTON, July 29. The Government has approved the adoption of a “de-icer” for civil aeroplanes, consisting of a rubber tube fitted to the wings and tail, through which compressed air is pumped to crack ice formations. It has also approved a device for bathing propeller blades with an anti-freeze solution.
