LODGE MEETING.

DAPHNE REBEKAH. At the fortnightly meeting of the Daphne Rebekah Lodge the N.G. (Sister E. Turnbull) presided over a large attendance. A vote of sympathy was passed to Bro. H. Joyce in the loss of his mother. Three members were reported to be on the sick list. One candidate was elected and one was proposed. An invitation from Hakatere Lodge to a social evening to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Order in the Dominion was accepted. The quarterly and half-yearly returns and balance-sheet were presented. A leather handbag was presented to Sister M. Cowan on the occasion of her departure for Dunedin. Reference was made to Sister Cowan’s interest and work for the lodge. Supper was served and a social hour spent.
