BOWLING.

NEW ZEALANDERS WIN. BRISBANE, July 30. The New Zealand bowlers played Boon Villa at Maryborough. Dee won, 20-12; Polglasse lost, 16-25; Simpson won, 22-20. ALLENTON CLUB’S MEETING. 1 At the annual meeting of the Alienton Bowling Club there was a good attendance of members. The annual report w r as adopted. The election of officers resulted:— Chairman, Mr E. S. Chambers; secretary, Mr D. H. Drummond; committee, Messrs H. Silverwpod, P. Bootiiroyd, W. Dickinson, X. Stevenson and R. Watson; transport officer and collector, Mr J. R. Stevenson; executive delegates, Messrs Chambers and Drummond ; Ashburton Sub-Centre delegates, Messrs R. W. Barr, Chambers, and Drummond; Christchurch centre delegate, Mr W. R. Featherston; selector, Mr R. Matliieson. A recommendation to the committee to elect one member to supervise all games was carried. It was also recommended that club doubles be altered to read champion doubles. The club’s electric mower was reported to be nearly finished and there was only the wiring to be done before installation. Members were informed that a meeting in connection with the formation of a women’s bowling section was to be held on Wednesday.
