A NARROW ESCAPE.
LORD TWEEDMUIR. MOUNTAIN LEDGE GIVES WAY. (United Press Association —Copyright.) (Received This Day, 10.35 a.m.) VANCOUVER, July 29. A Fort Norman message states that Lord Tweedsmuir (the Governor-Gen-eral), when returning from a tour of the sub-Arctic region, narrowly escaped a fall on a mountain. He was climbing a ledge which gave way. He clung to an overhanging -branch until rescued by the guide. Two members of the party were in peril on a ledge for two hours, being rescued by Indians with ropes.
