WRESTLING.

ILLEGAL TACTICS. CHRISTCHURCH, July 28. McCready had the hardest fight in years to-night when he fought almost eight rounds with Marshall, the latter being disqualified near the end of the last round. At stages Marshall definitely led on points, but lost the bout through rabbit and kidney punches and other similar tactics. There was absolutely no showmanship, and the bout was the hardest and fastest seen in years. WALKER BEATS SZABO. MASTERTON, July 28. George Walker defeated Louis Szabo in a wrestling match to-night, securing a fall at the end of the second round, Szabo being unable to continue. Walker said he barred no wrestler in New Zealand, and his offer to wrestle McCready still stood.
