Georg Ivohl, one of the three German airmen brought down by Loyalists on Monday, told the Madrid correspondent of “The Daily Telegraph” that he was attracted to Spain by the bait of more money. He was taken to Seville in a Lufthansa commercial ’plane, via Rome. A German officer instructed him to proceed to Salmanca, where ho would fight in Dornier 17, a new ’plane which the authorities evidently wish to try out under war conditions. The pilots are given objectives such as batteries to bomb from a great height.
