PROMOTION IN AUSTRALIA.

(United Press Association—Copyright.) SYDNEY, July 27.

The shareholders of Associated Newspapers, Ltd., to-day unanimously approved the decision of the board of directors to invest £IOO,OOO in the company promoted for the production of newsprint from a forest concession of 350,000 acres in Tasmania. It was announced that newspaper companies in Australia have already provided £600,000 toward the £1,000,000 working capital required for the project. It is anticipated that the company will supply the needs of Australian papers for 100 years.
