NEW ZEALAND BEATS IPSWICH.

SYDNEY, July 27

The New" Zealand hockey team beat Ipswich by 4 goals to 1. Scorers for New' Zealand were Houghton and Duffield, until two each. Ipswich scored in the second half. Duffield’s first goal beat the international goalkeeper, and the second was scored with a sensational shot. Watson was brilliant throughout. The ground was loose and bumpy and rain fell early in the game. New Zealand will meet Toowoomba on Thursday.
