BLOMFIELD BEATS KIRILENKO. AUCKLAND, July 26. A professional wrestling contest between Lofty Blomfield, of Auckland, and Matros Kirilenko, of Russia, iesulted in a win for Blomfield after each had obtained a fall. The Russian was disqualified in the seventh round for persistently using a stranglehold after being repeatedly warned by the referee. The first fall was gained by Kirilenko in the third round with a body press after forearm jolting and a rolling back loop slam. In the sixth round Blomfield cleverly tripped his opponent to apply his favourite octopus clamp, which won him ai submission fall. LITTLE WOLF BEATS SPELLMAN. WELLINGTON, July 26. A colourful wrestling bout resulted in Chief Little Wolf beating John Spellman by a single fall at the Town Hall to-night. Little Wolf gave a willing display of rough tactics, and was repeatedly warned by the referee for the use of his fists and kicking. In the sixth round he took a submission fall with an Indian deathlock. The closing phases were all in Spellman’s favour. Three times he applied Little

Wolf’s own specialty—the deathlock—but three times he let the Indian escape. Ed (“Strangler”) Lewis, former world’s wrestling champion, arrived by the Monowai \this morning from Vancouver, and will spend a few weeks in New Zealand.
