LODGE MEETING.

ANCIENT ORDER OF DRUIDS. Bro. P. G. Morrison, A.D., presided at the fortnightly meeting of the Star of Ashburton Lodge, U.A.0.D., last evening. Correspondence was received from Bro. F. E. Talbot thanking the lodge for congratulations on the attainment of his 21st year as secretary to the Mistletoe Lodge. The question of holding the Grand Lodge meetings biennially instead of annually was left over to be dealt with at the next quarterly meeting. An invitation to a card match with the Hakatere Lodge, 1.0.0. F., was accepted, and it was left to the secretary to arrange the date. Sick pay was passed in favour of 12 members. Two candidates were initiated and two were proposed for membership. At the close of the meeting the Foresters’ Lodge was entertained at a card match, which was won by the Druids. Bro. Morrison welcomed the visitors, and Bro. W. H. Amos replied on behalf of the Foresters, congratulating the Druids on their win and hoping that another match would be held at the Foresters’ Lodge.
