■ I ONE-DAY STRIKE FIASCO.

SYDNEY, October 6. Tho Labour Council discussed the one-day anti-conscription striko fiasco. One member declared that the striking unions had made themselves the laughing-stock of the country. Others demanded that the unions which did not go on strike should be dealt with. Another member announced that his union was not going to be-befooled by the Council or any other body.
