The first gift evening held iiitcon- ' nection with the newly-formed Spreadeagle branch of the Lady Liverpool , Fund took place last Wednesday even.ing in Mr Hydes's woolsh'ed, • and proved a huge success. 'Guests-were ' present from Springburn, Groenstreet, and Wii:ehmore, and" a, pleasant time was spent with dance and song. Gifts received were:—l 3 tins condensed milk, 2 tins coffee and milk, ,1 tin cocoa and milk, 1 tin pineapple; 3 tins cocoa. 1 tin Ilex cheese, 4 tins sweets,! pkt, chocolate, 1 box soap, ] box shaving soap, 1 in poet .powder.' 1 writing outfit. 5 tins^tobareo, 10 tins cigarettes.
