HINDS.
The annual meeting of the Hinds Hall Comniitteo was held in Hinds Hall on Monday evening.- Mr J. M. Hampton, the president, occupied tho chair, and there was a fair attendance of subscribers. Tho report showed that there had been,,a great fall in inoorao from rents owing to reduction for patriotic purposes. Some improvements had ■ been carried out, hut the committee was hamperOJ through want of funds. Tho library would bo started as soon as the books oould be obtained from the custodian of tho old library. Tho ladies of the district were interesting themselves in raising money to provide n copper and water supply. The election of officers resulted as follows: —President, Mr J. M. Hampton; secretary, Mr, J. Cook; treasurer, Mr A. McKenzie; committee, Messrs J. Paterson, H. Wills, S. Watson, J. Elms, G. R. Tilson, H. McConnell. J. Dwyer, and H. Hampton. A vote of thanks to tho secretary, who had done a. good deal of work, was carried by acclamation.
