At a largely-attended meeting of the Ilawke'.-s I'-uy' Rheepownors' Union ihi:» morning, to"consider liny'action of the ■-hearers in demanding increased rales for the coining season, the following, resolution was carried: —"That this meeting is of thy opinion that the recommendation of the Sheppfnnners' Federation of pavine 20s per 100 and 2s 6tl war bonus should bo adopted, and desires to enter .'> strong protest against the action of certain shearers' uni'ina in demanding rates far in excess of iho award, as this action Lends in great measure to set aside alt awards ngreed ,upon by both riarLief."
