The following is tho Ashburton grain market report i:or tho week ending September ' 'SO, 1916 : — Wheat.—Thero is vary little alteration in the position since our iaKt report, tho market remaining firm, but without ixny quotable advance. The quantity of grain offering by growers is of limited dimensions, and, although buyers can be found for any goodquality Jots offering at market rates, they are not prepared to concede the advanced prices asked by yovenil holders. Oats.—■'!lie-ro ir, nothing fresh to report, there being very few pate in the County for sale by farmers.
Chaff. —The market continues sluggish, and there is very little business passing.
