The wheat murJsot is quiet, but very firm. Values are:—Vcivot 5s 3d to 5s 4d, Hunters 5s to 5s Id, Tuscan 4s lOd to 4s lid, all delivered Timaru. The quantity offering from the country is smallor than evor, and in ono or two eases extreme; prices have been paid for prime milling lines. A parcel ofc Tuscan and Golden Gem found a buyer at 5s on trucks at a penny station, sacks extra. Lines of good milling Tuscan have beon sold during the week at <ls lOd on trucks at Pleasant Point; at' 4s lid ex store, Timaru; mixed Tuscan and Red Chaff (mostly tho latter) at 5s delivored Timaru; a line of second-class quality Tuscan at 4s Bd, St. Andrew's; and a lino of good milling Velvet at 5s 3d on trucks, Washdvko.
Fowl wheat is slow of sale at 4s 7d to 4s Bd, f.0.b., s.i. The demand for seed oats is now easing off, as the soason for sowing is advancing, but values remain the saino as last week. Feed lines hare been purchased at 2s 7d and 2s 8d on trucks country stations. There is a very limited demand. Tho potato marked is in rather a peculiar position, and values are fluctuating considerably according to orders received. The demand from tho North Island is spasmodic, and buyers are acting cautiously. Nominally, prices may be quoted at £6 10s to £6 15s oil trucks at country stations. There is a very good demand for seed Gamekeepers and Up-to-datos. The former nro worth £3 10s to £3 15s per ton, and the latter, if guaranteed truo to name, £5 10s to £6 per ton, on trucks. ' !
