RAKAIA.

The 160 th meeting, of Kakaia Lodge, No. 85, 1.0.0. F., American Order, was held on Monday evening. All the officers were present, and there was a good attendance of members. An im : portant letter was received from .the secretary of the. Ashburton Friendly 'Societies' ' Association, outlining the method to be followed by members when taking advantage of the .hospital scheme. It '■was stated that the lodge • was in a prosperous condition, one old member liad recently returned, a new member had just Tseen initiated, and another was ready to come in. The receipts for the evening amounted to . £17 10s 6d and expenditure £15 8s 2d.
