' CHRISTCHURCH, September 22. The wheat market is firm, .and a fair amount of buying has been done during the week to supply North Island orders and to replenish local millers' stocks. The bulk of the wheat was Tuscan, and the price generally paid for good milling wheat was 4s 8d - at country stations. A little Pearl has been bought at 5s per bushel. , The question of raising the pnce.ot flour has been considered by millers^ but it was decided ,not to make- an^y change at present. . There is a little more enquiry for potatoes from Auckland, but no advance in price is" offered. The local price is £6 5s to £6 10s, at country stations, according .to distance.
