The spring meeting of tlie Wanganui Jockey Club wus opened in glorious weather. The totstlisator investments were £24,329, compared with £22,331 on the corresponding day last year. Okehu Hurdle Handicap.—Vladian 1, Marton 2, Sty rax ',i. Won by half a length; a length between second and third. Time, 3min 17 .'i-oscc. Gonville Hack Hurdle. Handicap.— Record 1, Gokbn March 2, Austin 3. Won easily by a length and a half; a 'length between second and third.! Timc,.-3min 2. l-ssec. ! Putiki fiaolc Handicap.—Gayeium 1, |:Fidelio 2, Starongo 3. Won easily by a length; half a length between second and third. Time, lmin 15soc.
