MAGISTRATE REVERSES HIS DECISION.
DUNEDIN, Sept, 20. At Balclutha to-day, Mr Young, S.M., reversed his decision in the case of Charles* Ronald McLay,,; railway cadet, whom ho had previously convicted of tho theft of 10s, freight on sacks. Tlio Magistrate, said, he was perfectly satisfied that the principal witness, a boy, had lied to him at the previous hearing, and that ho _ was quite convinced the accused was innocent.
