This morning the weather was. deiHghtfully hne, with warm' sunshine and practically no wind. Shortly after I o'clock, how-aver, a cold south-west wind sprang up. and made the conditions somewh.it unpleasant.

The Government Meteorologist's forecast to-day . was as follows: I—The1—The •indications are for variable and strong breezes, but northerly moderate to strong prevailing, and freshening aftor about 24 hours. Tliere is a prospect of fair to cloudy weather. The night will probably be very cold. Barometer railing shortly.
