">'. AUCKLAND; September 19. In the Police Court to-day, Domerick . McDonagh and Albert West, two of rfche crew of the steamer Niagara, were' •each • sentenced ,to six months' hard labour for thefts from cargo. One of ?the accused had in his bunk pillows .-'staffed' .with• 120' pairs of ladies' silk stockings, valued at £12 10s. The •other's Jut contained a number of pairs of ladies' shoes, valued at £8 10s, stolen from the ship's cargo.
