Tiie recommendations of the sub-com-mittee that the sum of 7s b'd per yti..rter per horse be paid by trainers and owners for the use of the course for training purposes was adopted. The chairman and secretary were authorised to sign the five years' lease of the club's course to Messrs Millar Bros.

Some discussion took place as to the advisability of increasing the stakes, but in view of the present conditions it was decided to adhere to last year's figures.

The following alterations were made in the programme:—First Trot, distance reduced from R to 1* miles; Second Trot, distance reduced from two miles to l£ miles-, with a time limit 1 of 4min. or better; Hack Race, altered to a race for two-year-olds and over, weight-fqr-age, open - for horses that have never won £50 in one stake at the time of starting. The President of the New Zealand Racing Conference wrote authorising the changing of the date of the meeting from December 8 to ""(December 7. * . •

The resignation of the president was accepted with recjret; and Mr T. S* Hfirnwin was appointed to fill the position. :
