Bailey, Coroner, held ail inquest yesterday afternoon and returned a. verdict of 'accidentally drowned. ' ! TIMARU, September 17. On Saturday night F. Duncan, nightwatchman on the dredge, was run down by a. shunting engine on the wharf and cut to pieces. It is not known exactly how the accident happened.. Ho was not on duty that night. He was about 65 years old arid for 30 years was harbour-master's coxwain. Ho wa.a a widower wTtli a grown-up family.
