Tha Board consists of the SurveyorGeneral, Commissioner of Taxes, the Commissioner of Crown Lands for the district, ani the land registrar of the district in which is situated any land proposed to be acquired. The duty of the Board is to ascertain the valua of the land and report as to the demand for set* tlement in the locality for the purposes ot the Aeb. The Colonial Treasurer & empowered to borrow £50,000 in any on© year.
