School Committee.
CHEATSEY.
A special meeting of the Chertsey School Committee was held in the school room on Saturday evening last. Present —Messrs Childs (chairman), Pownie, McDowell, Murphy and Fendall* Reference was made to Miss Tod da' departure for the Normal Training College, the Committee expressing their satisfaction at the manner in which she had performed her duties during her term as pupil-teacher, and being especially pleased to cungra'ulate her on her excellent reports. -In her future career they were pleaded to wish her every success, of which her woik hare had given promine. These sentiments as expressed by the Committed were ordered to be entered on the minutes. Jfc was decided to voto for Mrs Wilson and Messrs Meredith and Munnjngsas member* of the Education Board. The task of selecting a mistress was then proceeded with. Out of twentythree applicants, forwarded by the Board it was decided to recommend for appointment Miss Gertrude Tully, of the Normal Training College.
