HAMPSTEAD. A special meeting of tlw Hampstead School Committee was held on Saturday evening. Present—Messrs Andrews, Urr, Sage, Pickford, Ricknian, Elliot, an! Biaset. Aa apology was recoircd from the chairman, Mr Crooks, who was absent, through Ulnes*. Mr Andrewg was votod. to the chair. . *
selection of one m*le and one female pupil teacher for recommendation to the Hoard of Education was proceeded with. On ballots being taken two of the female applicants (of whom there were seven) received three Vites each and a third one vote ; on a second ballot a selection was made by four votes to three. JTne; successful male candidate received three votes, the other two competitors receiving , two votes each. " ; ■ Other upecial business lapsed. ' ' ft was resolved to call the attention of the Hoard to the demolition of the shed at the master's house by the recent nor'wester. Notice of motion was given with reference to the headraastership. » Since the n.eoting a protest has been made on behalf of cue cf the candidate* - agiinst the resub, on the gtound^ of alleged irregularities in {he proceedings.
