THE "POLITICAL SITUATION." Sydney, February 8. The " Daily Telegraph," in an article on the political situation yesterday, made scathing accusations against the | Government. In this morning's issue a qualified article appeared, stating there was no intention of reflecting on the personal honor of the gentleman attacked. It is understood ihat writs were issued to-day on the proprietors of the paper from nine members of the Cabinet claiming £5000 each for libel.
