Mr Atherley Jones, in a letter to "The Times" indicates that it is essential Home Uule should in no sense be of a provisional character or ( involve a similar concession to England ; and Scotland. An amendment to the Address in Reply by Mr Keir Hardie regrets the absence from the Speech of any reference to the industrial depression, and the necessity of prompt legislation in the interests of the miserable unemployed. Mr Jesse Collings' amendment affirms that a measure for the relief of agricultural laborers ought to have precedence of Home Rule. Mr Arnold Foster's amendment refers to clerical intimidation in elections. j The " Standard " says the leaders of the Opposition will not move any amendncent to the address.
