__; « — 1 Chbxstohuboh, December 30 At the Addington market, In consequence of the sale to-day being an inter* mediate one, ten days intervening between the previous one and another ten before the next, there was cons' derable activity In the various branches of the market. The supply waa, however, equal to the 1 demand, excepting m the fat o-ttje pena. ' Fat Cat_t_b : The sale of beef was limited and those entered, with the exception of a line of grand steers whioh sold np to £7 17s 6d, were but of moderate quality, Prlmeut beef realised from 19_j to 21s per 1001 b, and Inferior up to 181. Siobb Caulk : There was a good entry, including several nice lines of yoong stock and good framed bnllooks. These commanded a fair price, owing to the requirements of one or tiro grtz'.era who were competing for tbem. Some two year olds and mlxtd ages changed hands ■t prices ranging from £2 to £2 10s. 1 Other pens of bullocks reaohed £4 to] £4 8s ; yearlings from 16s to 245. Useful dr? cows sold fairly well. Stobb Sheep: A large entry, principally of young crorsbred ewes and merinos, met with a very dull sale. What were sold reallisd as follows :— Half bred four tooth ewea from 10s 91 io lis lOd ; do mixed ages, principally old Bhcep, at 5s Sd ; twotooth oroßsbreda m small lines at from 6s to 9j 9d. Fat Lames ; .Another heavy entry of lambs met with good demand. Best penß reaohed from 8s to 12s. Some very 111 conditioned lambs were entered and sold at very low ptloes. Fat Shibp : There was a very large supply, bat little of whioh oame under the bead of prime freezing mutton. What Utile of this was offered sold very well, aa mach at 2£d being procured for one or two lines, while Inferior quality went at from l_rd to 2d, dead weight Pigs ; The entry was only nominal, not aore than about 20 pl?s being penned. ■ 1
