The Marquis of Tweeddale has been appointed to the position of Lord m Waiting recently vacated by the Earl of Hopctoun on his acceptance of the Governorship of Victoria.
General Sir Archibald Alison has been appointed Governor of Malta,
General Booth's wife is dying of cancer,
