Williams and Bland report haviag held ibafr weekly . i ale of h;rses on Saturday, K^v 9th. There was a large entry of horses, . ut the attendance, of farmers and buyers was very poor, owing no doubt to the farmers not having returned fiom the Christchurch Show, where several large sales of horses and show stock were taking place. Twenty.one horses were entered for the day's sale, but very few changed hands the greater portion being hacks and light harness. We quote medium draught, five year old, mare, £16 las; aged ditto, £11, £10,^ a ..four year old hack, £13 10s, £12 J medium ditto, ss; crockes, £l ios, £1 12s 6d, £2, £$ 15s

Proimce— Oats, 2s 2d to 2s 3d ; crushed ditto, 25 6d ; fowls' wheat, 7s qd to 9s 6d per bagj barley, 7s 6d per bag; oat straw chaff, £2 5s per ton ; wheat ditto, £2 per ton ; potatoes, 7s to 10s 6d per bag ; seed ditto, 6s per bag ; cheese, 4j£d per lb ; bran, 4s 6.1 per bag.
