The "Mail" of Saturday whites:— The demand for wheati s not extensive, but a few parcels have changed hands at rates ruling last week. These are 3s 3d for velvet and red chaff and 3s 5d to 3s 6d for tuscan, at store, Barley is nominal, and scarcely a line has been sold. Danish oats rule from 2s 4d to 2s 6i ; short samples from 2s 6d to 2s Bd. Bran is at ;£3 15s and pollard at £4. Fowl wheat, broken, 2s 7.1 ; whole, 2s iod. Oaten-hay chaff, £1 10s: straw chaff, 355. Potatoes have aii upward tendency, and the general qu tations are from 10s to £i I2sjit sidings, bags extra, une buyer gives the price at £2 *Ss cash, bags extra. Jt is expected that prices will advance, but very much depends on the value of the tuber m outside markets and the quantity held m the district. It is thought that stocks m the hands of growers are somewhat short. ;
