Napier, September 27. The Mahla murderer, who is to be ox eooted to-morrow morning, took leave of hia three ohildren to day. Ha Is resigned to hie fate, and appears penitent.
EXECUTION OP THB MURDERER.
Napier, September 28. j Makaore was executed this morning. ' He took a fia»l farewell of his tlroo ohildren at 6' am. He made no oonfes eion, but from his refusal to partake of the sacrament yesterday lest be should have to say something before he died, lt was Inforred that he contemplated confessing. This morning the eftorameot ~ &i administered, and when asked whether he would Ike to confess he said he bad confessed to his God. There w-s a very small attendtnea at the exeoatlon, tbe papers over ntgbt having made no allusion to tbe j oomtng event.
