THE JULY WHITECHAPEL MURDER.

It !s surmised from the latter circumstance that the murderer was interrupted, and had toieek safety m immediate flight. Constable Andrews at once raised an alarm, and other pollcemeu hastened to the spot, but not a trace couid be found of the mieoreant. The body on inspection was found to be that of a woman of middle age, fair complexion, with light brow a hair. She wa* clad m shabby attire, which was very dirty, and was apparently a woman of the lowest data A dootor was immediately sent for, and numerous policemen assembling, the exits of the alley were dosed, and all tha carta carefully oearohed, but without re* cult . Several arresa of auspicious persons were mode, but iv do case was there sufficient evidence to justify detention.
