' The following la tae Obrlatobatch Corn Exchange report for the week ending Friday, August 30 :-There 1b little new to report In the grain trade. Business ii exceedingly quiet. Foreign advloaa for wheat tend to firmness, but looslly there la no dlepoaitlon to pnrobaae. The enqalrieß last week foe Tuaoan have been filled, and it is now diffioult to obtain our quotations. The three boats for Sydney at the beginning of the week took large shipments of potatoes, the advices of whloh spectators are now awaiting. The oat market is now quite lifeless, no orders being on hand, and local requirements being fully supplied. Barley like oata fs very doll, there being so little prime, and buyers decline to operate on aeoond quality, The following are our quotations : — Wheat— Prime Tuscan, 3s 7d to 3i 83; pearl, 3s 43 ; hunters, 3j Id to 3a 2d ; broken wheat, 2a 6i to 2s 9d, Oats —Milling, 2s 9d ; short feed, 2i 8d ; Inferior, 2s 4d to 2j 6i.
